Arab Council expresses deep sorrow at tragic end to Martin Place siege
Arab Council Australia issued the following statement earlier this
morning following the end to the siege in Martin Place.
It's a very sad day for Australia as we learn of the tragic loss of
lives following the events in Martin Place, Sydney earlier this
morning.
Our hearts are crying out in grief for the victims and our
thoughts are with their families and friends and anyone
touched by this tragedy. Your loss is our loss and we grieve
with you for your loved ones.
We offer sincere appreciation to the police, emergency
services, the political leadership and the media for the way
they have dealt with the situation.
We hope that the overwhelming show of good will and
cooperation continues as we come to terms with the tragic
events.
