Arab Council Australia is pleased to invite members and friends to attend the 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, with arrival and registration from 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start.
The AGM will be held on Darug Land at Arab Council Australia’s offices, Level 2, 44–46 Mandarin Street, Fairfield East.
This year’s meeting will include the launch of the 2026–2030 Strategic Plan and the Tabiea Masiruna Community-Driven Climate Action Plan.
AGM Chair and Special Guest: Rathana Chea
Rathana Chea is an Australian community leader and climate advocate with more than 25 years’ experience in social change, human rights, and environmental work across six continents. A long-time ally of Arab Council Australia, he supported the Arab-speaking community during the aftermath of the Cronulla riots. Rathana is the Founder and CEO of rathana.org and Co-Founder of the Multicultural Leadership Initiative (MLI). Recognised among the 2024 Most Impactful Asian-Australians, his work continues to advance inclusive leadership and climate justice globally.
Returning Officer: Sophia Nasser
Sophia Nasser is a former Board Member of Arab Council Australia and an industrial and employment lawyer working in the trade union movement.
