Help us support Palestinians arriving to Australia from Gaza.
Arab Council Australia is reaching out to the community to help support Palestinians from Gaza when they arrive in Australia.
The Commonwealth Government has granted 860 temporary visitor visas to Palestinians following the Israeli bombardment of Gaza. The visas that have been granted are valid for up to 12 months, with no current plan to extend.
Many have arrived with hardly any possessions.
Palestinian nationals who arrive in Australia on visitor visas will never be eligible for Centrelink payments, Medicare, or any other government assistance and are not allowed to work.
We appeal to you for the following assistance:
Donation of funds to this campaign to assist with daily living expenses, such as groceries, rental bond, and medical expenses.
Help with establishing networks, finding accommodation, and migration matters.
All funds raised through this campaign will go towards supporting people arriving from Gaza.
Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
